Ben Starling is a close friend of Quentin Jacobsen (nicknamed Q) and Radar (real name Marcus Lincoln), and is the boyfriend of Lacey Pemberton; all of whom attended Winter Park High School with him in Orlando, Florida where he resides

In tenth grade, Ben was hospitalized with a kidney infection. However Becca Arlington spread a rumour that the real reason for his hospitalization was from chronic masturbation, a story which has haunted him ever since, giving him the name Bloody Ben. His IM name is literally, "ITWASAKIDNEYINFECTION" as to ward of people calling him Bloody Ben.

Also, Ben refers to all women as "honeybunnies," including his own mother. There is no help for him.
