Biography

Donald Joplock studied rhetoric at Cambridge University until 1971, when he decided to drop out and pursue a career in management instead. In 1985 he bought UTILIS for over a million pounds, and steadily made his fortune by puchasing many other companies. In 1994, he announced that he was retiring, claiming that he wanted to spend more time with his dog, Cherri. He lives in Dorset in Hempley Castle, a major British heritage site set in 42 acres of land. Products Joplock currently supports are Oreo biscuits, which he claims he "never stops eating", John Green's Printz Award-Finalist book An Abundance of Katherines, which he says he "never stops reading", and the hugely successful online encyclopedia Omnictionary, which he claims he "never leaves." He is also a fan of the British soap opera Our Private Lives, and he says that he "never stops watching" it.

He claims Margo Roth Spiegelman to be "The only girl I ever loved", but has also stated that he has never met her.
