Edward Svihus

Edward Svihus (1990 - ) is a nerdfighter who loves to read and write, play scrabble and paint with water colors. He is one of a minority of Norwegian nerdfighters, manifesting that awesome knows no political borders.
While possessing a confident, well spoken, endearing and empathetic nature, Edward finds it hard to make good friends. This may be due to his judgement of character, however recent studies find it more likely to be the effect of him living in Norway.

He is half American
Nerdfighter Edward is, despite popular belief, half american. While Edward's exact origins are unknown, it is safe to say that he is made of awesome. Edward has always been proud of his American heritage, although his pride has been tainted by some of Americas recent history.
Enlightenment
Edward was, like many of you, converted into a Nerdfighter by the Green brothers. He happened to watch the awesome vlog that is "June 28: How to Be a Microfinancier", while he was searching for informational videos regarding Kiva. While Edward was made a Nerdfighter relatively early in the Green brother's quest for world awesome, he has made little contribution towards the cause. Therefor, from the 20th of May 2008, Edward is a self-proclaimed Nerdfigter apostle, and will spread the awesome news wherever he may find himself.
One of the many aspects of nerdfighterdum that appealed to Edward was the act of placing objects on ones head.
Love for words
Edward loves words. He loves learning new words, or simply learning new ways to use words he already knows! Despite his love for words, Edward has never been a great speller. It is in spoken language he is most comfortable, although he does appreciate the intricacies of the written word. As of present his favorite word is contrapuntally. He especially loves to emphasize the "punt", really enunciating it, resulting in a spray of spit. It is very difficult to weave into every day language, but that makes it all the more rewarding when one is successful.
Books
Edward's first true love was "Peter and Wendy" by J.M. Barrie. He guesstimates he has read it 5-7 times, but none knows for certain. Beyond this Edward has fallen for countless titles, nerfighteriest of all, Harry Potter. He was introduced to the Universe of Hogwart at age 9, and since then has been completely indoctrinated into J.K. Rowlings "Generation HP1".
Edward has been working on a novel for the past year entitled "Prune Juice", he fears it will never be completed.
Philosophical nature
Edward is a very philosophical being, and there is nothing he loves more then a pensive debate with a group of friends on an issue of politics, humanity, ethics, morality etc. His favorite quote is: "It is useless to attempt to reason a man out of a thing he was never reasoned into" -Jonathan Swift
