Experiences in which Nerdfighters relate their experiences related to Nerdfighting & c. Including times where they sneak in Nerdfighting related ideas in random places(eg. DFTBA in the snow, a link to nerdfighting in a piece of paper in a book)

Separate them using bullets.

  • DFTBA in snow, using fridge magnets, written in steam-covered windows, (feel free to add more)
  • I was doing a practise for the Literacy Test when there was a part where I had to write a brief "article". I saw kids laughing hard in the picture they gave us and the title "Guest Speaker Inspires Students" inspired ME. So I wrote it about John Green coming to a high school in Manhattan to promote Paper Towns and ended up with a Nerdfighting tour where he told them about B2.0 and about DFTBA, Nerdfighting, etc. In the end many of the students turned to nerdfighters after John's "intellect, wit, comedy".
  • I was singing this little DFTBA song I made up, and people asked what DFTBA stood for. I told them all about Nerdfighters etc. I think I gave a little awesome to their day.
  • DFTBA on the comment book at the end of the Titanic exhibit.
  • I went to a bearly used vollyball court and wrote NFTBA in the sand, super big. It got my little brother and sister were really excited. My little sisster--who is only six--had to go through the work of thickening the lines so everyone could see them. Then I drew glasses under it, which she also had to broaded.
  • while in class one day, we had a guest teacher, and while describing herself, she mentioned, "and i am a VERY big nerd." so i stood up, put my fist in the air and said "NerdFighters, UNITE!!" and not only did she put her fist up, but so did half the class. Nerdfighters ftw ^_^
  • I was reading through my school's literary magazine in AP Calc Class when there was a picture of an octopus, which I temporarily misidentified as a squid and yelled "OH CRAP GIANT SQUIDS OF ANGER!" The class went silent and no one knew what I was talking about, but at least now they know who the enemy is.
  • Two of the Nerdfighters I created and I were reading some Omnictionary pages when God suddenly became overwhelmed with awesome and our power went out for a couple "French the Llama" moments of shock. I then picked up my opened copy of Paper Towns, said "I shall now entartain you by means that aren't electronic" and read the book outloud to them.
  • Whenever you know that Google Earth is photographing your area, write DFTBA in big letters in sand or at the beach, or out of sticks.
  • I went to the bookstore and put many notes in random John Green books telling readers to go to nerdfighters.com. Would have put more, but the worker guy kept looking at me funny, and another guy was like "OH that is a good book, right there!" "whatcha reading?!" That kind of thing, and no I didn't know him.
  • I wrote DFTBA on every markerboard in school that I had access to.
  • During my penultimate English lesson of 2011 we were put into groups of four and surprised with a speaking and listening assessment. Each of us were assigned 'jobs' in a movie making company etc. So I named our company - DFTBA Studios.
  • A few days after that (Wednesday the 14th) I went late night shopping with my family. In this little shop we were in there was a small blackboard propped up on a shelf. I grabbed the chalk and wrote DFTBA. I was going to write 'the giant squid of anger was here' but a) there wasn't enough room on as I said, a small blackboard and b) the girl behind the desk was giving me a stare intended to injure or seriously maim.
