Fiveawesomegirls
From Omnictionary
A group of five awesome girls (5AG) who have created a YouTube channel similar to the Vlogbrothers' channel in which they each posted a video every week, covering five week days, for the year of 2008. The girls originally came together through a combination of Facebook messaging and Wizard Rock concerts. Several of the girls are musicians; Lauren Fairweather and Kristina Horner are members of the Wrock bands The Moaning Myrtles and The Parselmouths, respectively. Liane Graham's album, Wit, A Little Bit, was released on October 31st, 2008.
Kristina first thought of it and quickly phoned Lauren to share her idea, stating she was "an obvious choice" of a person to share a project with.
It has spun off many other "Fiveawesome" channels, most notably the more popular, and equally jokes, Fiveawesomeguys.
The Fiveawesomegirls have recently disbanded.

On May 23, 2008, the FiveAwesomeGirls YouTube channel was hacked. In the beginning all but one video was deleted, a new video with a picture saying "Sorry Girls, it had to end sometime," was uploaded, and the description was changed to "Toby." According to this video uploaded on the FiveAwesomeGuys' channel, Alan put the girls in touch with someone at YouTube, and they had the account suspended.
Alan explained it this way: "Somebody phished the password, and I'm going to explain how that happens so that hopefully it won't happen to you guys or anyone else who might run a collaboration channel. Basically, what the person did who hacked the channel was... he created a sock puppet account - a fake account - with one of the usernames looking very similar to one of the girls' usernames, just switching two of the letters around, then put a profile pic and all that that looked exactly looked exactly like the other girl's channel. Then he PMed one of the other girls and said that he had forgotten the password and asked if he could have it. Now, when you see this in your inbox, it's the profile pic that you're used to and the name is so similar that only two of the letters are switched, you're really not paying attention, you're going to respond to that pretty quickly and just, you know, give up the password."
