Hermione is the clever best friend of Harry James Potter and Ron Weasley. Her Hogwarts House is Gryffindor, just like Ron and Harry. Hermione is known to be rather bookish and is often teased, amongst other things, for being a know-it-all. Throughout the series she is portrayed as a very feminine character, which adds to the story as she mostly hangs around Harry and Ron, who are both boys. She may be frumpy, but she's super smart. Check out her grades, they're A's for a start. What she lacks in looks, she makes up for in heart, and that's totally awesome. She also tends be pushy towards Ron and Harry, and has been known to argue with Ron a bit more than she does with Harry. Hermione has a thing for Ron Weasley throughout her entire school life. She realizes it as a sixth year and their relationship slowly developes. Eventually, she marries him. The couple have two children together: a daughter named Rose and a son named Hugo. Her close companion throughout the books is Ginny Weasley.

Hermione is played by Emma Watson in the very successful Harry Potter film franchise and by Bonnie Gruesen in A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel.
