Jack Martin

Jack Martin (1990- ) is a Senior at Winter Park High School and the captain of the Volley-Ball team. He will be attending the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in the fall of 2009.

Adoption and Early Childhood

Martin was adopted from China in 1994 when he was only 3 years old. He was found on the doorstep of a small orphanage just outside Beijing. He was adopted by the renowned anthropologist Colin Martin, now a professor at the University of Central Florida and his wife Gretchen Martin, a nurse at Furham General Hospital in Orlando. The Martins moved to Jefferson Park immediately after the adoption in an attempt to accommodate Jack in a more child-friendly environment. Though shy his entire life, Jack quickly became friends with Tommy Neyer. Together, they were famous troublemakers around the neighborhood as well as in school. This dynamic duo thoroughly enjoyed reeking havoc upon their beautiful neighbor Margo Roth Spiegelman. Their most famous prank on her was super-gluing her bike tires to her driveway. Their on-going feud lasted well into their high school career.

The Fight

Tommy and Jack fell out their Freshman year at Winter Park, and ever since then have viciously competed in both sports and academics. They also consistently fight over girls, and they supposedly both asked Renee Hughes to prom, who turned them both down for Eric Weckers. Their latest rivalry has been in planning senior prank

Senior Prank

Jack had a significantly better prank than Tommy. He was able to access the school's water system and dye all the water orange. Furthermore, with the help of a friend, he brought in 61 ducks into the school , each with painted feet, so that they left multi-colored trails all around the building.
