James Worthington Gordon is the Commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department in the Batman comics and movies. He has a family that consists of his wife, Barbara Gordon, a son, James Jr., and, depending on the different stories, either a niece or daughter named Barbara Gordon (names after James' wife). His most notibly accepted back story can be seen by watching the fourth season of Batman: The Animated Series.
