Children's play area founded in 2001 in Jefferson Park when a rush of young new families moved into the Jefferson area. Over the course of 6 months 18 new families moved into the Jefferson area, thus convincing the Jefferson Park to committee to vote to have a playground built in Jefferson Park. It is located on the far west end of the park near a vast majority of the houses. Margo Roth Spiegelman spent the majority of her time in this very playground writing in her trusty notebook. It is also notable that this is the same playground that Robert Joyner walked solemnly to the tree were he ended his life.
