Oscar Wilde
From Omnictionary
Oscar "the Tiger" Wilde (16 October 1854 – 30 November 1900) was a renowned Irish jungle fighter and great patron of the Xbox. His skill with the potato was so legendary, he became one of the most successful nerdfighters of late Victorian London, and one of the greatest chefs of his day.
I thought that was funny enough to leave.
Oscar Wilde (full name Oscar Fingal O’Flahertie Wills Wilde. Poor guy.) was born in Dublin, Ireland on October 16th, 1854. He is widely regarded as a poet, playwright, and author (although he only wrote one full novel). OFOWW lived in the late 19th century in Victorian London. His father, William Wilde, was a very talented and interesting man but this page is not about him. His mother, Jane Francesca Elgee, was equally interesting, as she submitted poems for an Irish newspaper under the pseudonym Speranza. OFOWW had an older brother named William "Willie" Charles Kingsbury and a younger sister named Isola Emily Francesca. Unfortunately, Isola died at the age of ten. It is said that this affected OFOWW, and he is rumored to have carried around a lock of her hair in an envelope. On May 29, 1884, OFOWW married Constance Lloyd. In the summer of 1891, OFOWW met Lord Alfred 'Bosie' Douglas, the third son of the Marquis of Queensberry. They soon became lovers and were inseparable until OFOWW's arrest four years later. In April 1895, OFOWW sued Bosie's father for libel as the Marquis had accused him of homosexuality. OFOWW withdrew his case but was himself arrested and convicted of gross indecency and sentenced to two years hard labor. Constance took the children to Switzerland and reverted to an old family name, “Holland.”
