A Paper Town is a fictional town. It started appearing on maps to protect against copyright infringement.

Also an excellent book written by John Green. Published October 16, 2008 by Dutton Juvenile, Paper Town hit number five on the New York Times Best Seller list. The author has created a force of excitement and intrigue in the Nerdfighter community by extending the characters of Paper Towns beyond the original book and into the realms of The Ning, Facebook, Myspace, and Omnicitionary, a site for creating a Wiki-Novel.
