Ruby Hayley Marchlook (October 16, 1950) is an English psychologist, and author of When Attatchment Becomes Obsession, published in 2000, a book which Donald Joplock called "the only thing I ever read".

Marchlook was married to notorious novelist William S. Wright until 2007, when he was famously found dead up a tree in Kent. This disturbed her greatly and her children say that she hasn't been the same since. She has two children, Angela and Robert (now Bobby Wright), and lived in Seattle, Washington with her hamster Mildrew, until her disappearance in June of 2008.

She is currently working on an assessment of the mysterious disappearance of Margo Roth Spiegelman, who went missing in early May 2008.

Disappearance

On June 22 2008, Marchlook went missing from her home in Seattle, and has not been seen since. It is believed that she fled after traces of her hair were found on her husband's corpse, implicating her involvement in his murder. She left without taking her car or her pet hamster, and it appears that she left in a great hurry, for her home was left in disarray. The ensuing police investigation promised an anxious public to "leave no stone unturned until Marchlook is found".

The three year-long investigation was officially closed on the morning of August 12 2011, after authorities admitted that they were unable to locate any of the 957 pages of notes and documentation composing the case file. They have refused to give further comment.
