From Omnictionary
Scott Clarence (197?-) is a popular local street busker and Jefferson Park's self-proclaimed poet laureate plays a wide range of instruments (including but not limited to banjo, acoustic guitar, mandolin, hammer dulcimer, vibraphone, clarinet, saxophone, dobro, keyboards, and electric bass), and performs various cover songs throughout the afternoon hours while wondering around town. Though he claims to have written over 200 songs personally, Clarence has yet to debut any of said compositions in public. Some of the most often played covers include "Cactus" by the Pixies, "Museum of Idiots" by They Might Be Giants, "The Star Spangled-Banner" by Francis Scott Key, and "Red Chord" by the Frames.
Places of Residence/Amount of Income
Though he has been seen around most of town, Clarence usually limits his performances to the main drag of Main Street where he can procure an average of $21.75 in tips per week. It is uncertain/undisclosed how he finances his operation or where he resides. Occasionally, rumors will surface that Clarence was seen leaving one of the area's few cheap motels, only to have this notion disregarded by said establishment's management.
