So I was at school today(still am, but details, details. Psh.) and I walked past this youngish looking girl, like at most Grade 8, anyways for some reason I looked at her book(then I could only see a pillar of smoke *COUGH*) and was like, hey, that looks familiar.... Upon closer inspection... I could see.. a purple candle! Then I was like OHMYGOD. I opened my book to say something weird(weird to her, like awkward and random from a total stranger) like not to be weird, but, that's an AWESOME book. Alas, she was talking to her friend. I kind of shadowed her(cough stalked, cough actually not) because I was walking the same way as she, but I kind of slowed down. Anyways, another friend came along, and then went away. For a second, the girl seemed alone, and I opened my mouth to say said weird thing, but then she turned away to talk to Friend One. Damn. I only could walk away.
Sigh. If I had been able to talk, I would have said the aforementioned said weird thing, and maybe asked if she was a Nerdfighter. Sigh. But I DID wonder... how old was she -- old enough to be allowed to read the young adult LFA type? Was she a Nerdfighter? Was that her book, that looked like it had no library tag, battered etc.? If not, was it borrowed from a peer, relative etc.? If so, good. Paperback, like mine.. Oh well. Don't want to earn a reputation as a weird random stalker stranger. --Nerdfighter 11:26, 29 October 2008 (EDT)
