About
I'm only just one person, but I've had a bit of experience working in and setting up MediaWiki's that focused on a subjects ranging from a game to people. I'm a firm believer in guidelines and policies. Not to make things harder and restrict, but to make it easier to know who is talking on Talk pages (tip: Sign all your posts on talk pages with this: ~~~~, this will make you name appear with a link to your userpage and your talk page, as well as a timestamp).
You could say I love the whole wiki concept. I love everything about it. My goal with Omnictionary is to organize and neaten things up. I'm sure this'll catch on soon enough. It's just a matter of time. Anyways, that's enough editing of my userpage for now. It's time to get started.
Categories
Whoa...lots of clean-up here...I spent one night just adding categories to pages. Categories is the better way to make lists of pages in a wiki. It's allows for less manual labour and additional to multiple lists if needed. To add a category to a page, do this: [[Category:Name of category]]. I know you must be saying, "But isn't that how I make a link?", Yes, and no. Category: makes it a category link, which will automatically add a link to the bottom of the page. Much easier.
Now that I've completely taken over recent changes and probably have made a few people go, "Huh?", I think it's time to go. I'll be back. I tried not to be notsome...I hope I succeeded...
